Riding Arena Metal Buildings

Ostro builds steel riding arenas and stables — covered arenas, enclosed indoor rings, boarding barns, and the support space that runs alongside them. We engineer and fabricate every building in our own factory just outside Augusta and ship it factory-direct, so you get an equestrian facility built to your dimensions at manufacturer pricing, backed by our price-match guarantee. Our clear-span red iron frames open the entire arena floor — no interior columns for a horse and rider to

A Clear-Span Floor to Ride In

A riding arena only works if the floor is truly open. Our 100% clear-span frames carry the whole roof on the sidewalls, so there are no posts in the middle of the ring — an unbroken surface for training, lunging, jumping, or a full competition court. The same open span makes the arena easier to drag and groom, since equipment moves end to end without weaving around supports, and it keeps sightlines clean for riders, trainers, and spectators. Widths and eave heights are engineered to your discipline, from a covered practice ring to a regulation indoor arena.

Insulated and Ventilated for Horses

An enclosed arena or barn has to stay comfortable for animals and people through a Georgia summer and a cold snap alike. We specify insulation with an R-value and budget that suit your climate and how the building is used, which helps stabilize interior temperatures and hold down energy costs. The same system dampens sound, so rain on the roof and outside noise don’t rattle horses during training. Ridge vents, wall louvers, and door openings are designed in to keep fresh air moving — important for air quality in any building that houses livestock.

Stables, Stalls, and Partition Systems

A working barn is more than four walls. We design stall runs, partition walls, tack and feed rooms, wash bays, and aisles to ensure stable functionality, with layouts that can be reconfigured as your herd or program changes. Partitions are built to withstand daily abuse from large animals, with smooth faces and rounded edges to reduce injury risk, and may include grill panels and observation openings for airflow and line of sight. Finishes range from a rustic barn look to a clean modern interior.

Built to Carry Arena Equipment

Riding facilities hang a lot off the structure. Our roof framing is engineered to carry what the arena needs — LED arena lighting, fans, ductwork, conduit, sound and PA systems, and roof-mounted HVAC — so the ceiling supports the equipment without eating into the riding volume below. Because the frame and those loads are engineered together in-house, you don’t discover later that the roof can’t take the lighting package you want.

Coated to Last Against Moisture and Ammonia

Stables are a corrosive environment — moisture, wash water, and ammonia from waste go to work on ordinary steel. We protect the mainframe with specialty coatings designed to resist corrosion, abrasion, and impact in exactly that setting, so the structure withstands knocks from equipment and animals and maintains its finish for the long haul. Combined with a standing-seam or PBR roof, it’s a barn built to outlast the mortgage with little upkeep.

Why Ostro

We don’t just sell steel buildings; we make them — engineered in-house, fabricated in our own factory, and inspected under IAS AC472, single-sourced from quote to delivery. Equestrian projects often sit alongside the broader agricultural buildings we build — barns, equipment storage, and livestock structures — and use the same clear-span red iron system.
