Agriculture Metal Buildings

Ostro builds steel buildings for agriculture — equipment and machine barns, hay and grain storage, livestock and dairy shelters, and farm workshops. We engineer and fabricate every building in our own factory just outside Augusta and ship it factory-direct, so you get a hard-working farm building at manufacturer pricing, backed by our price-match guarantee. Our clear-span red iron frames open the entire floor — no interior columns to drive a combine, tractor, or loader around.

Clear-Span Room for Equipment and Livestock

A working farm building needs an open floor. Our 100% clear-span frames carry the roof on the sidewalls, so you can pull a combine straight through, stack round bales to the eave, or run a feed alley end to end with nothing in the way. The same open span makes the building easy to reconfigure as your operation changes — equipment storage one season, livestock housing the next — and simple to clean out with a skid steer or tractor.

Built for the Loads Your Region Throws at It

Every building is engineered for the snow, wind, and seismic loads where it will actually stand, not a generic spec. That matters on a farm, where a long, wide roof takes the full brunt of the weather and has to shrug it off for decades with almost no upkeep. Steel doesn’t rot, warp, or feed a fire the way a pole barn’s timber can, so more of your budget stays in the operation instead of going to repairs.

Enclosed, Open-Sided, or a Mix

Build it the way you’ll use it. Fully enclose the building for climate control and security on equipment, inputs, or a workshop; leave it open-sided for airflow and quick access on hay, cattle, or a loafing shed; or combine the two under one roof. We design the doors, openings, ventilation, and lean-tos around how the building actually works day-to-day.

Cold-Formed or Red Iron: The Right Frame for the Job

We build with both framing systems and match the frame to the project, rather than selling you more steel than you need. Cold-formed steel is the cost-effective choice for smaller, lighter buildings — faster to raise and easier on the budget. Red iron (rigid frame) is the call when you need very wide clear spans, crane or hoist loads, or a large machine shed built to stand for generations. Tell us the project, and we’ll steer you to the right one.

Why Ostro

We don’t just sell steel buildings; we make them — engineered in-house, fabricated in our own factory, and inspected under IAS AC472, single-sourced from quote to delivery. The same clear-span approach applies to the riding arenas and stables we build for equestrian operations.
